TravelSmart Sunshine Coast has compiled a range of resources for parents and children to ensure that sustainable transport information is accessible to all ages.

Fact Sheets

Read these fact sheets for some helpful information on bike safety and how to TravelSmart to school with your children:

Park & Walk Guides

It is great to break your routine, get the children out of the car and discover exciting and healthy ways of getting to school. If you live too far away for the children to walk or ride to school you can park at the suggested locations on the maps below and then walk the remaining distance with your children to school.

TravelSmart Sunshine Coast works with a selection of Sunshine Coast schools on educating the next generation of commuters on the sustainable transport alternatives to cars.

These maps provide parents and children of these schools with all the information to determine the distance, direction and estimated time needed to get to school.

We all lead busy lives but if you can allow ten minutes a day, one day a week to be TravelSmart you will make a difference.

TravelSmART Calendar Competition

Students are encouraged to get creative by designing a poster showing what TravelSmart means to them. There were over 500 excellent entries for the 2011 calendar comp. The Prep to 3 winner was Bou Sissons, age 6, from Currimundi State School and the Years 4 to 7 winner was Joel Tobin, age 10, from Good Shepherd Lutheran College. Their beautiful pictures are now on the covers of the 2011 TravelSmart Sunshine Coast calendars. You can download each calendar by clicking on the image below.
