To help accelerate improvements to local public transport services, infrastructure and to promote patronage, council resolved on 21 April 2009 to introduce a Public Transport Levy of $20.00 per rateable property. Through this investment council also aims to build stronger partnerships with the state government through policy development, improved advocacy, catalyst projects and seek funding to attract improved public transport investment. More information on the Public Transport levy, including a list of funded projects can be found on council's website.
With all these options at your fingertips there is no need to struggle through the traffic and parking chaos in your car. Leave the car at home, get out on the public transport and let someone else do the driving!
