Dodging Doors

Parked cars can be more dangerous than moving ones. Watch out for opening car doors!

To avoid DOORS

  • look out for cars that have just parked
  • look out for parked cars with people at the wheel

Riding in the Door Zone

Ride slower and move outside of the door zone be aware of what's behind you. If a door opens
in front of you, go for your brakes and make some noise.

Signal your Intentions

          Turn Left               Stop     Turn Right

If you plan to move out of the door zone, signal your intentions.  Use your arms to signal
turning left, right or if your stopping.  It will be safer for you and everyone else if you signal.
